"I Am Wicked With My Money": GehGeh Fires Back at Sister Over Neglect Allegations

Popular content creator and influencer Emmanuel Obruste, widely known as GehGeh, has responded to a viral video from his younger sister accusing him of abandoning his family despite his newfound wealth. The drama escalated after his sister claimed she was "bounced" from GehGeh’s recent housewarming ceremony, leading to a wave of social media criticism directed at the influencer for allegedly neglecting his siblings.

In a candid video response GehGeh dismissed the notion that his success should translate into an automatic financial rescue for his entire extended family. “I never get the kind of money wey fit raise family from poverty. I can only do my best and not my all,” he stated. The influencer, who prides himself on his "wicked" financial discipline, argued that his strictness is precisely why he achieved a breakthrough. He reminded his siblings that he is the first person in their family history to build a duplex and own cars, advising them to go out and find jobs rather than waiting for handouts.

GehGeh further explained that he is applying "strategy over emotions" to ensure he doesn't slip back into the poverty he worked hard to escape. He noted that even international superstars like Asake took years to reach a certain financial level before making major family purchases, and he refused to be pressured into a similar position prematurely. “I no go help anybody in this life to the point wey be say I go con later need help from them,” he added, reinforcing his stance that family members should focus on their own contributions and work ethic rather than relying on his success.

Do you think successful people have a moral obligation to lift their entire family out of poverty, or is GehGeh right to prioritize his own financial stability first? Share your comments below!
