Family Of Late Veteran Comedian Mr Ibu Appeals For Financial Help Over Deepening Hardship

The immediate family of the legendary Nollywood comic actor, John Ikechukwu Okafor, globally recognized as Mr Ibu, has broken down in tears while speaking out about the extreme financial hardship they have faced since his passing. Members of the late actor's household exposed their current living conditions during a welfare visit from popular digital content creator, King Mitchy. The family openly confessed that life has become incredibly unbearable without their primary breadwinner.

Speaking during the viral video interview, the actor's widow, Stella Maris Okafor, revealed that the family's electricity supply was completely disconnected over two months ago due to accumulated, unpaid energy bills. She added that they have also been living without access to clean running water, forcing her and the children to resort to manual well fetching daily while relying on neighbors at night to charge their mobile phones. Fought back tears, the mother of three also showed a text message from her children's school management, disclosing that her only daughter and two sons have officially dropped out of school because of massive outstanding tuition fees and unpaid house rent.

Standing beside her emotional mother, Mr Ibu's young daughter took turns to issue an intense public appeal, begging wealthy Nigerians and influential practitioners within the local entertainment space who closely worked with her father to remember his legacy and come to their rescue. While fans are expressing deep concern online, a long-time colleague of the late actor, Fred Ebere (Tenkobo), has openly criticized the public solicitation, claiming the family should account for investments and landed properties left behind by the icon.
