Health workers have called on the newly appointed Chief Medical Director of the Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido-Ekiti, in Ekiti State to prioritise quality healthcare delivery and improved hospital services.

The appeal followed the leadership transition at the hospital after Dr Olagoke Erinomo assumed duty as the acting Chief Medical Director following the completion of the tenure of the immediate past CMD, Prof. Adekunle Ajayi, on December 31, 2025.

Members of staff and stakeholders in the health sector stressed the importance of maintaining high standards of medical care, strengthening hospital management and ensuring that patients receive efficient and compassionate services.

They also emphasised the need for improved working conditions for health professionals, adequate equipment and continuous training to enhance service delivery in the facility.

The workers noted that sustaining quality healthcare services is essential to improving patient outcomes and maintaining public confidence in the hospital.

Erinomo, who previously served as Chairman of the hospital’s Medical Advisory Committee, had pledged continued commitment to delivering qualitative and compassionate healthcare services to patients and communities served by the institution.

He also encouraged staff members to remain resilient and dedicated as the hospital continues its mission of providing quality medical services to the people.
