Dangote Industries Limited is set to spotlight its flagship Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemical Company at the 2026 Nasarawa Trade Fair, as part of efforts to deepen industrial collaboration and investment opportunities.

The event, scheduled to be officially opened on April 20 by Abdullahi Sule, will also serve as a platform for the company to present its Vision 2030 strategy, aimed at accelerating innovation and industrialisation across Africa.

In a statement, the company noted that it is the major sponsor of the trade fair, themed “Unlocking Industrial Synergy: Deepening the Value Chain and Driving Inclusive Growth in Nasarawa State.” The exhibition will hold in Lafia, the state capital, bringing together stakeholders from various sectors.

According to the firm’s spokesperson, Anthony Chiejina, several Strategic Business Units will participate, showcasing a wide range of products and services. These include offerings from Dangote Cement, Dangote Sugar, Dangote Salt and seasonings, Dangote SinoTruk, Dangote Packaging and Dangote Fertiliser.

Speaking on the significance of Nasarawa to the group’s long-term plans, the Regional Director and Senior Adviser to the company’s president, Fatima Wali Abdurrahman, described the state as a key investment destination. She highlighted the ongoing Nasarawa Sugar Company project, noting that it is expected to become one of the largest sugar investments on the continent upon completion.

Abdurrahman added that the trade fair offers an opportunity for meaningful engagement with investors, entrepreneurs and members of the public interested in doing business with the conglomerate. A dedicated help desk will also be available to address enquiries and provide information on the group’s operations.

Also speaking, the Chairman of the Nigeria Association of Small-Scale Industrialists, Nidan Sambo Manasseh, said the fair aligns with the group’s vision of strengthening local enterprise and integrating small businesses into structured value chains.

He noted that the third edition of the trade fair goes beyond exhibition, serving as a platform for business development and human capital growth.

A key feature of the programme is the Empowerment Skill Acquisition Programme, which targets about 2,000 beneficiaries across the state’s 13 local government areas through a mobile training system.

Organisers say the initiative is designed to promote inclusive participation and foster grassroots economic development, while strengthening ties between small businesses and large-scale industries.
