2027: APC Government Will Fail Integrity and Credibility Test — ADC Chieftain, Salihu
Omoyeni Olabode

Dr. Mani Salihu, a prominent chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has issued a scathing critique of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), predicting that the party will face a crisis of integrity and credibility heading into the 2027 general elections. Salihu argued that the gap between the government's promises and the lived reality of Nigerians has become too wide to bridge with mere political rhetoric.
The ADC chieftain used the platform to advocate for a stronger coalition among opposition parties. He suggested that the "integrity failure" of the ruling party creates a natural vacuum for a credible alternative—a "Third Force"—to emerge. Salihu emphasized that the 2027 polls will not be decided by party logos or deep pockets, but by a "referendum on performance." He warned that if the opposition fails to unite, they risk allowing the APC to maintain power despite what he termed a "disastrous track record."
Salihu also predicted that the APC, sensing its waning credibility, will likely resort to "heavy-handed political maneuvering" and propaganda to retain its grip on power. He urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies to remain neutral to prevent the 2027 cycle from becoming a "charade."
Do you think the opposition can truly unite to form a "Third Force" that rivals the two major parties, or is the Nigerian political landscape too fragmented for such a coalition? Share your comments below!
