Former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello has called on Nigerians to embrace unity, peace, and love during the ongoing Eid-el-Kabir celebrations. In a statement released by his media aide, Bello emphasized the importance of living harmoniously to foster national development. He urged citizens to uphold these values as a means to attract progress and strengthen the nation's unity.
Bello's message resonates with the spirit of Eid-el-Kabir, a time for Muslims to reflect on the sacrifices made by Prophet Ibrahim. The former governor highlighted that the essence of the celebration lies in promoting peaceful coexistence and religious tolerance among Nigerians. He encouraged individuals to embody the virtues of sacrifice and compassion, which are central to the teachings of Islam.
In his Eid message, Bello also condemned recent violence in Agbudu community, assuring that the government would take necessary actions to bring the perpetrators to justice. He called on all parties involved to cease hostilities and prioritize peace for the overall growth and development of the area and the state.
As Nigerians celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, Bello's call for unity and peace serves as a timely reminder of the collective responsibility to foster a harmonious and prosperous nation. His message encourages citizens to reflect on the values of love and sacrifice, ensuring that these principles guide their actions beyond the festive period.
