WORD OF GOD FOR TODAY

Constantly Part 1

The church is expected to be constantly on the move... which is towards perfection. The more they mature, the more the church is moved in the right direction, , and and the more lost people are moved into the church. We are the salt and the light of the world; the effect of who we are must be felt in and around us. We are the true representative of Jesus Christ on the planet earth.

Isaiah 60:1 - Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.

Mathew 5:13, 14, 15 - Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt bave lost bis savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that. Learn to light a candle in the darkest moments of someone's life. Be the light that helps others see; it is what gives life its deepest significance; we are to become an agent of change in peoples' lives by pulling people out of darkness into His marvellous light. We move specific people from the darkness of sin to the light of Christ. Acts 26:18 says confirm this stand - from darkness to light, our Heavenly Father does this through us (Col. 1:13). We move people from ignorance and unbelief to saving faith and repentance (conversion). Give light and people will find the way. There is no darkness so dense, so menacing, or so difficult that it cannot be overcome by light.
