WORD OF GOD FOR TODAY

Timeless Wisdom
------------------------------
It's a beautiful Monday morning.
There is a saying that you can not turn back the clock, but you can wind it up.
What will be your LEGACY?
FEAR or FAITH?
They say fear makes even strong men silent.
Fear paralyses. Fear cripples.
One day in Uganda, silence almost changed history.
So the story goes that Idi Amin once woke up with one of those “big ideas” that only dictators have at 3am. He called an emergency cabinet meeting.
No agenda. No warning. Just vibes and danger.
When all the ministers arrived, sweating and confused, Amin stood up and said with full confidence:
“Gentlemen, I have decided. From today, Uganda will change its name… to IDI.”
Silence.
Not the normal silence.
The kind of silence where even your heartbeat asks for permission to beat.
One minister clapped first.
Another one clapped louder.
Soon the whole room was clapping like they had just heard the best idea in human history.
One said, “Brilliant, Your Excellency!”
Another said, “Visionary leadership!”
One even said, “Sir, this will confuse our enemies!”
But in the corner sat Walyamungu. Quiet. Serious. Thinking about his children’s future.
Amin noticed him.
“You! Why are you not clapping? Do you disagree with me?”
The whole room froze. One man even started writing his will in his head.
Walyamungu stood up slowly and said,
“Your Excellency, before we change the name, may I ask one question?”
Amin narrowed his eyes.
“Speak.”
“Sir… do you know a country called Cyprus?”
The ministers looked at each other like, “This man is finished.”
Amin said, “Of course I know Cyprus. What does that have to do with my great idea?”
Walyamungu cleared his throat.
“Sir, the people of Cyprus are called… Cypriots.”
Amin nodded. “Yes.”
Then Walyamungu said,
“So if Uganda becomes Idi… we Ugandans will be called… Idiots.”
Dead silence.
One minister fainted inside but stayed standing.
Amin stared at him for a long time. Long enough for everyone to start planning their escape routes.
Then suddenly Amin burst out laughing.
He pointed at Walyamungu and said,
“You and I are the only intelligent men in this cabinet! The country shall remain Uganda!”
The ministers started clapping again. But this time, it was real relief clapping.
And that is how one brave man saved a whole nation from being called something they did not sign up for.
Moral of the story:
Fear keeps evil ideas alive.
Courage kills them.
The silence of good people allows foolishness to grow.
But one voice, at the right time, can change history.
Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is simply… speak.
Pray for NATIONS and LEADERS across the GLOBE for the fear of God and WISDOM for GOVERNANCE.
Love you forever.

Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo, the founder of David Christian Centre (DCC) and a renowned relationship coach, has issued a stern response to fellow ministers and critics questioning his decision to get a tattoo. Addressing the backlash during a recent sermon on Sunday, February 15, 2026, the cleric declared that many of his detractors lack the spiritual standing to correct him, asserting that there is a "ranking in the spirit" that governs such interactions.
