Emulate God Part 1

John 3:16
For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.

When a man becomes a Christian, he becomes industrious, trustworthy and prosperous. Now, if that man when he gets all he can and saves all he can does not give all he can, I have more hope for Judas Iscariot than for that man.

Good day, people of God. Today we are looking at the need for us to be like our Heavenly Father. It is important for us to learn to emulate God in our giving as God gave His precious and beloved Son without compelling Him to do so. We are confident that God will bless you through these series.

Christian giving is to be marked by self sacrifice and self forgetfulness, not by self congratulation.

2 Corinthians 9:7
You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. For God loves a person who gives cheerfully (NLT, second edition).
This verse talks specifically about four key heart attitudes you should have when you give.

In all of my years of service to my Lord, I have discovered a truth that has never failed and has never been compromised. That truth is that it is beyond the realm of possibilities that one has the ability to out give God. Even if I give the whole of my worth to Him, He will find a way to give back to me much more than I gave.
