WORD OF GOD FOR TODAY

Goodbye Part 1

2 Chronicles 26:5
As long as he sought the LORD, God gave him success.

Things we must not be afraid to say good bye to will be discussed in the next few days and we are confident that God will bless you tremendously through these series. God thoughts for us are thoughts of good and not of evil to give us a future. Successful living is God’s will for every believer though challenges will still come our way but victory is assured if we faint not.

God’s son, Jesus, was successful but the world does not measure success in the same way God does. God said of Jesus during His ordeal on the cross that He was very proud of Him, and yet He died a hideous death on the cross. But God was pleased. Sometimes, because we are human, we cannot foresee the successful conclusion because we live in a small space and time. Not like God and it is hard for us to believe that God would put His Son through such an ordeal. But His love for us was as great as it was for Jesus and it was His way of bringing all of us back to Him.

Joshua 1:8
This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success.
Do not be deluded by expecting an overnight success because it will not happen. We can say with a high degree of certainty that it is going to take hard work and dedication to achieve your goals. Please be aware that there is no free lunch anywhere. Accept the fact that there is no yellow brick road to your dreams hence a price must be paid in full. It doesn’t matter if you’re trying to be an engineer or an accountant or a social worker or a teacher or a coffee shop owner. The trials and tribulations are what make you feel successful when your dreams turn into reality.
