Emulate God Part 4
Proverbs 11:25 – The generous person will prosper, and whoever refreshes others will himself be refreshed.
The Bible encourages giving that is done voluntarily and with the right motive. It shows that such giving benefits not only the recipient but also the giver.
2 Corinthians 9:6 – whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.
Give voluntarily without being pressurised. Any time you’re pressured by a person or persons (either titled or none titled) to give, don’t give. Don’t allow anyone to cajole you to give, don’t forget that you have the Spirit of God in you that will guide you on such important matters. God will not bless an involuntary giving because whatever is not done in faith, cannot be blessed. God can challenge you to give and in such situations, please oblige. Don’t be stubborn and don’t be too carnal when it comes to giving to God but be spiritually alert.
2 Corinthians 9:7 – Let each one [give] as he has made up his own mind and purposed in his heart, not reluctantly or sorrowfully or under compulsion, for God loves (He takes pleasure in, prizes above other things, and is unwilling to abandon or to do without) a cheerful (joyous, prompt to do it) giver [whose heart is in his giving].
Giving does you and others good as it fosters cooperation and friendship. Giving that is done voluntarily, pleases God. The most truly generous persons are those who give silently without hope of praise or reward.

Wise Saying
It’s not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.
