Emulate God Part 3
As base a thing as money often is, yet it can be transmuted into everlasting treasure. It can be converted into food for the hungry and clothing for the poor. It can keep a missionary actively winning lost men to the light of the gospel and thus transmute itself into heavenly values. Any temporal possession can be turned into everlasting wealth. Whatever is given to Christ is immediately touched with immortality. A. W. Tozer
God is a lot more interested in your willingness to give than your wealth, because He’s interested in what’s happening in your heart when you decide to give to Him. 2 Corinthians 9:7 – You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. Give enthusiastically. Give pleasantly not based on pressure or being cajoled. Give because you know God’s going to bless you in return.
Luke 6:38 – Give, and gifts will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will they pour into the pouch formed by the bosom of your robe and used as a bag. For with the measure you deal out with the measure you use when you confer benefits on others, it will be measured back to you.
God has a way of giving by the carloads to those who give away by shovelfuls. Charles Spurgeon
God is always trying to give good things to us, but our hands are too full to receive them. Augustine
Wise Saying
You can give without loving, but you cannot love without giving.
