WORD OF GOD FOR TODAY

*Wednesday 23rd April*

*Word for Today: TAKE IT BY FORCE*

*Today's Scripture: 1 Samuel 17:45-47 : Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.*
*This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.*
*And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD'S, and he will give you into our hands.*

*There are no miracles without obstacles*
Today's memory verse shows that the only approved means for taking your portion in life is violence. Only violent people take what belongs to them.
In the book of Matthew 11:12 Jesus said *_"And from the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent shall take it by force"_*
*Those who take things easy don't accomplish much on earth.Those who are too relaxed may never amount to anything in life either.*

*Great things don't happen without resistance... Only the violent will take it by force!*
This implies that the earth is a war zone, and whether you like to fight or not, fight is waiting for you. Therefore the only way to survive earth's terrain is to be battle ready at all times.

*There are no miracles without obstacles. No treasures without pressures. Oftentimes struggles surround the birth of great miracles. The woman about to deliver must push because babies don't want to loose the comfort of their mummy's womb.*

Today's text shows that there's a Goliath between you and your fame in life. *Great names are not gotten without a fight.* Whatever it takes to become what you were born to be, be willing and determined to pay the price and it shall be yours.

*DON'T FORGET*
*Great things don't happen without resistances... Only the violent will take it by force.*
_And the time to arise is NOW!_

*Those who wait for comfortable or convenient seasons to take quality steps may never have a chance in life.*
David killed Goliath *by the violence of faith* while King Saul and his army were running to the caves to hide.
Beloved brethren in Christ, _be courageous enough to face your Fears and worries, don't run away. Stand up and fight relevantly and in righteousness, and God will give you the victory in Jesus name._

*What shall I do?*
_1. Give God thanks and praises for past victories and blessings._
_2. Ask for help to win your present challenges._
_3. Take out time to fast and pray about that issue today._

*Prayer for Today: My heavenly Father, thank You for today's word. Oh God of restoration, show me mercy and grace today. Help me Lord to deal with my fears and worries, help me Lord to defeat the Goliaths of this world. In Jesus name......... Amen.*
