Omoyeni Olabode

Labour Party National Chairman, Julius Abure, has clarified the reasons behind his recent visit to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, amid rising speculation about political realignment. Speaking to reporters, Abure said the meeting was not about defection or political deals, but a discussion focused on national interest and development.
According to Abure, as a leader of a political party, he has a duty to engage with key stakeholders across party lines to promote democracy and find common ground on issues affecting Nigerians. He stressed that the visit was neither secretive nor unusual, emphasizing that dialogue remains crucial in resolving political differences and advancing the country’s interests.
Abure maintained that the Labour Party remains strong and committed to offering credible alternatives, and his visit should not be interpreted as a sign of weakness or compromise.
