Nigeria’s star striker Victor Osimhen is now undergoing treatment following a moderate ankle ligament sprain, confirmed by Galatasaray doctors after he sustained the injury during the Super Eagles' crucial 1–0 victory over Rwanda. Upon return to Istanbul via a private jet, he was examined at the club’s partner hospital, where scans revealed ligament stretching and bleeding—signs of a moderate sprain. Treatment has now commenced as the club and national team monitor his recovery.
Osimhen’s injury sidelines him for Nigeria’s upcoming World Cup qualifier against South Africa—an enormously important fixture as the Super Eagles seek to catch up in the standings.
