Tottenham Hotspur have officially dismissed manager Ange Postecoglou, just over two weeks after he led the club to its first major trophy in 17 years by winning the UEFA Europa League. Despite this European success, the club's dismal domestic performance—finishing 17th in the Premier League with only 38 points—prompted the decision.

Postecoglou, who joined Spurs in July 2023 from Celtic, was praised for revitalizing the team's attacking style. However, a season plagued by injuries and inconsistent league form led to the club's worst top-flight finish since 1976–77.

Particularly the Europa League victory, but emphasized the need for consistent domestic performance. Postecoglou expressed pride in his tenure, highlighting the foundations laid for future success.

The club is now seeking a new manager, with Brentford's Thomas Frank emerging as the leading candidate. Frank, who led Brentford to a 10th-place Premier League finish, reportedly has a release clause of £8–9 million.
