Tinubu Describes ‘Productive Lunch’ with Macron as Nigeria–France Relations Strengthen

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has characterised his private working lunch with French President Emmanuel Macron as “productive”, highlighting a renewed commitment to enhancing Nigeria–France ties.
Meeting on 10 September 2025 at the Élysée Palace in Paris, Tinubu announced via his verified X account that both leaders had “reviewed key areas of cooperation between Nigeria and France and agreed to deepen our partnership for mutual prosperity and global stability.”
This engagement forms part of Tinubu’s 10-day working vacation across Europe. The trip, which began on 4 September, includes stays in both France and the United Kingdom, blending official leave with high-level diplomatic interactions.
