Stop Poking Your Nose in Opposition Affairs, Atiku Fires Back at Tinubu, APC
Omoyeni Olabode

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has slammed President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC), warning them to steer clear of the internal affairs of the opposition. Atiku’s reaction comes after recent comments by APC leaders suggesting the opposition is in disarray and lacks direction ahead of the 2027 elections.
In a statement issued by his media office on Thursday, Atiku described the ruling party’s interest in the affairs of the opposition as “an act of desperation.” He said rather than focusing on the opposition, the APC should channel its energy toward addressing the country’s economic woes, insecurity, and worsening living conditions under its leadership.
Atiku, who was the PDP’s presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, accused the Tinubu-led administration of failing to deliver on its campaign promises. He urged opposition leaders and parties to remain focused and united, stating that Nigerians are watching and will hold the ruling party accountable in the next general elections.
