U.S. President Donald Trump turned heads at a White House gathering by openly gushing over rap superstar Nicki Minaj, describing her as "so respected and so hot." The complimentary remarks were delivered on Monday, July 6, 2026, during the Rose Garden Club Lunch, a high-profile social and political event attended by various administration officials and prominent supporters.
Addressing the audience, the President singled out the Trinidadian-born hip-hop icon, who sat dressed in a striking pink dress. Trump praised her vocal allegiance to his administration, clarifying that he does not necessarily see her through a strict partisan lens but rather as a "common-sense person" who has earned admiration.
"She's a woman that's respected by everybody. I said, 'Nicki, you're so respected and so hot.' She gets it, more importantly."
— President Donald Trump
Following the luncheon, the rapper visited the Oval Office—where Trump was marking the official kickoff of the "Trump Accounts" financial initiative—and took to social media to share her excitement with her massive fan base, the Barbz. Posting photos alongside a portrait of the President, she dubbed herself the "#WhiteHouseBarbie" and marveled at the surreal manifestation of her 2009 song lyric from I Get Crazy, where she originally rapped about being with the president in the Oval Office.
The rapper previously stated that ongoing media smear campaigns and criticism only motivate her to double down on her support, framing her loyalty around protecting the leader from being "bullied."
