Sarah Ferguson Removed as Julia’s House Patron Following Epstein Email Revelations

Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, has been dropped as a patron of the UK children’s hospice charity Julia’s House after emails emerged in which she referred to late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein as a “supreme friend.”
The email, sent in April 2011, came just weeks after she had publicly stated she would sever ties with Epstein. In the correspondence, she apologised to him “from the heart” for disowning him in a public interview, although her representatives now say she did so under legal threat.
Julia’s House said it has informed the Duchess of the decision, adding that given the nature of the revelations, it would be “inappropriate” for her to remain in her role as patron. The charity expressed gratitude for her past support.
In response, Ferguson’s spokesperson stressed she has repeatedly condemned Epstein upon learning of the full extent of his crimes, and that the email was written under pressure, including a possible defamation claim from Epstein.
