President Tinubu Prays with Muslim Faithful at Dodan Barracks, Lagos

President Bola Tinubu joined other Muslim faithful at the Dodan Barracks prayer ground in Lagos on Friday, June 6, 2025, to observe Eid‑el‑Kabir prayers. He arrived around 9 a.m., accompanied by top dignitaries and government officials, and participated in the congregational prayer led by the Chief Imam of Lagos, Sheikh Abu‑Nolla .

During the service, President Tinubu urged Nigerians to pray for unity, show compassion, and remain "our brothers’ keeper." He highlighted the importance of supporting vulnerable citizens and specifically called for continued prayers for the nation’s troops, who are "making sacrifices in the challenges that we face from terrorism and banditry" .

The Chief Imam echoed these sentiments, emphasizing Eid‑el‑Kabir’s core message of sacrifice and urging the faithful to rise above tribal sentiments in pursuit of national harmony. He reminded worshippers to consider the needs of the poor and vulnerable, calling on leaders to enact people‑centred policies .

Joining President Tinubu at the prayer ground were key figures including the Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar; Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola; Lagos State Deputy Governor Femi Hamzat; former Lagos Governor Babatunde Fashola; National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu; and prominent business leaders like Aliko Dangote and Abdul Samad Rabiu.
