Political Transfer Window Frenzy: APC Goes Galáctico, PDP Scrambles Like Man Utd, LP Scouts for a Super 9
Olamilekan Boluwatife

The political transfer window is still wide open, and clubs are not sleeping! APC FC is out here acting like Real Madrid during Galácticos era—signing big names and locking down the league. PDP? Well... they're giving strong Man United post-Ferguson vibes—plenty of history, but the current squad? Confused. Their finances are also looking like Barcelona’s—plenty debt, no Messi, and praying for sponsorships.
Ever since APC scooped BAT as their marquee signing, it’s been domination on the streets. The surprise loan signing of Wike from PDP has been nothing short of genius. Wike turned around and helped APC thrash his former club in Edo. Talk about scoring against your ex!
Now, all eyes are on Osun FC, where a major midfield restructure is brewing. The newly signed defensive midfielder, Sheriff, and the agile left winger, Okowa, are expected to link up with powerhouse Wike and tactical genius Dapo. Club CEO BAT said negotiations to sign Osun’s midfield maestro as backup for Sheriff are “at their zenith.” (Na him talk am, no be me!)
Meanwhile, LP FC is still cooking. Word on the pitch is they’re in hot pursuit of Kano’s deadly No. 9 to boost their front line. After their 2023 debut run, they know they need firepower for the 2027 PCL (Political Champions League).
In other news, veteran goalkeeper El-Rufai is not done yet. He’s building a fresh squad, possibly forming his own club or acquiring an old one. Rumors say he’s eyeing OG defenders like Atiku to anchor the back. Saraki and Tambuwal, who’ve been out injured (or out of touch?), have resumed light training. We hear scouts from APC, PDP, and LP are monitoring their fitness closely.
No VAR needed here—this 2027 season go mad! Stay tuned for more updates as these clubs continue to fight for political glory, transfer clout, and of course... bragging rights on Twitter/X.
I come in peace. Ball na politics, politics na ball.
