Pedri Prefers Champions League Glory Over Ballon d’Or

Barcelona midfielder Pedri has said he would rather win the UEFA Champions League with his club than the individual accolade of the Ballon d’Or. He made this comment when asked about what means more to him — personal awards or team success. Pedri said, “The Ballon d’Or? I would rather win the Champions League with Barcelona.”
The remarks reflect the midfielder’s emphasis on collective achievements instead of individual recognition. He said that he does not “value individual awards” above what his team can accomplish together on the European stage.
Pedri is one of several Barcelona players nominated for this year’s Ballon d’Or, and his performance last season helped Barça secure major domestic titles. However, team trophies like the Champions League still hold greater weight in his priorities.
This position has earned him praise from fans and pundits, who see it as a sign of humility and strong team spirit. It also highlights the importance players place on success in major tournaments.
