Veteran Nollywood actor and broadcaster Patrick Doyle has shared the deeply personal and heartbreaking news of the passing of his newborn daughter, Omayinuwa Harriet. In a poignant message shared on Sunday, Doyle detailed that little Omayinuwa arrived on Friday, April 10, 2026, but returned to heaven just a day later, on Saturday afternoon. The news has come as a shock to many, as the actor had only recently celebrated her birth, noting at the time that both mother and child were doing well.
Despite the profound sorrow of such a short stay, Doyle’s tribute was filled with a sense of gratitude for the joy she brought into their lives during her brief visit. He described her presence as a gift that, while fleeting, left a lasting impact on his family. His words reflect the heavy reality of a loss that no parent is ever truly prepared for, yet he chose to focus on the light she brought into their world, even for a moment.
The most striking part of Doyle’s announcement was his unwavering expression of faith. Using the phrase "Sibe’ sibe’ Oluwa n’be’" (Despite everything, God is still there), he reaffirmed his trust in divine providence. Even in the face of such a devastating trial, he maintained that his family's faith remains resolute, concluding with the powerful sentiment that it is well with their souls.
What are your thoughts on the strength it takes to maintain faith during such a difficult time? Please share your reflections and messages of support in the comments below.
