Ogun Imams Kick Against Daytime Curfew in Ipokia Communities

Muslim clerics in Ogun State, including top Imams and Alfas, have strongly kicked against a supposed move by some traditionalists to place a daytime curfew on residents of Ikolaje and Idiroko in Ipokia Local Government. They say the idea "doesn’t make sense" and warn it could cause unnecessary tension in the area.

The clerics made it clear that such a curfew has no legal backing and should not be forced on people without proper consultation. They asked the traditional leaders to calm down and talk things out with the community instead of trying to impose rules people weren’t involved in making.

They also called on the state government and police to step in and clear the air before things get out of hand. For them, the focus should be on peace and understanding, not fear and confusion.
