Nottingham Forest have officially parted ways with manager Nuno Espírito Santo with immediate effect following weeks of tension between the Portuguese coach and the club’s hierarchy. According to reports from Portugal, the decision was reached after internal disagreements that made his position untenable.

Nuno, who joined Forest less than a year ago, had been under pressure following a poor run of form and strained relations with senior management. While he was credited with stabilising the team at some point, recent performances and clashes behind the scenes reportedly fast-tracked the club’s decision to terminate his contract.

Forest’s board is now weighing up options for a new manager, with at least three candidates under consideration. Among the names linked with the role is Ange Postecoglou, who is admired for his attacking football philosophy and ability to build competitive teams.

The club is expected to make an official announcement soon regarding Nuno’s successor as Forest seek stability ahead of a crucial stage in the season.
