President of Dangote Industries Limited, Aliko Dangote, has stated that having a son to carry on his business empire is not a priority, expressing complete confidence in his three daughters—Halima, Fatima, and Mariya—to lead the conglomerate.
Speaking in an interview aired on Arise News, the billionaire industrialist responded to questions surrounding succession planning and traditional expectations regarding male heirs. Dangote emphasized that leadership should be determined by competence and preparation rather than gender, noting that his daughters are highly educated, deeply invested in the business, and capable of taking the conglomerate to greater heights.

Drawing comparisons to multinational technology giants like Microsoft and Apple, he highlighted that the group is establishing governance frameworks to ensure the company thrives across generations while preventing internal mismanagement. He also confirmed that the family has legally committed 33 percent of his estate to the Aliko Dangote Foundation to fund philanthropic initiatives after his passing.
