Nigerian adventurer Emmanuel Myam, better known as Emmiwuks, has triumphantly arrived at the Liberian border. Thus, marking Day 55 of his bold bicycle expedition from Lagos en route to the United States.

Now 25 and hailing from Benue State, Emmiwuks embarked on this extraordinary challenge with a mission to amplify the voices of orphans and internally displaced children across Africa.

His journey began on 30 June 2025, taking off from the Lagos State University gate, and quickly captured public attention for its bold vision and humanitarian purpose.

Since departing Nigeria nearly two months ago, Emmiwuks has pedalled through Benin, Togo, Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire. He has travelled through diverse terrains and logged thousands of miles on his trusty bike, affectionately named Little Eagle.

Previously, on his arrival in Ghana, Emmiwuks was greeted by enthusiastic support, embodying a spirit of African unity and brotherhood.

He expressed his gratitude across his verified social platforms: “From Nigeria through Côte d’Ivoire, every pedal, every drop of sweat, every smile from strangers… has carried me here… Liberia, thank you for welcoming me.”

Throughout his ride, he has drawn from a personal narrative of transformation. His near-death experience from appendicitis in 2023 inspired him to chase bigger dreams, including cycling from Makurdi to Lagos in 2022 to meet music star Davido.

Emmiwuks’s journey is not merely a physical feat; it’s a powerful symbol of resilience, hope, and advocacy.

Pedalling through unpredictable terrain and complex logistics, he proves each day that determination can bridge continents, one cycle at a time.
