NANNM-FHI Denies Suspension of Ongoing Seven-Day Warning Strike
Omoyeni Olabode

The National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives (NANNM), under the Federal Health Institutions (FHI) Sector, has dismissed claims that it has called off its ongoing seven-day warning strike. The strike was initiated to demand better working conditions, improved welfare packages, and the urgent implementation of agreements previously reached with the Federal Government.
The association clarified that it remains fully committed to the strike action, insisting that no directive has been issued to suspend or halt the protest. The leadership urged its members across all federal health institutions to disregard any contrary information and continue with the industrial action.
The union emphasized that its demands must be met before any reconsideration of the strike can take place.
