N69.15m Property Fraud Trial: Lagos Court Grants Blessing CEO ₦20m Bail

Relationship expert and social media personality Blessing CEO, has been granted ₦20 million bail by an Ikeja Special Offences Court in Lagos.

The ruling comes six weeks after her June 9 arraignment and subsequent remand at the Kirikiri Maximum Security Prison.

Blessing CEO was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on a two-count charge bordering on stealing and obtaining money under false pretences:

According to the EFCC, Blessing CEO fraudulently obtained ₦69.15 million from Hope Chiropractic Health Clinic Limited in March 2025. She allegedly claimed the funds were intended to secure a lease for a property situated in the Lekki area of Lagos State. She pleaded not guilty to both counts.

Presiding Judge, Justice Rahman Oshodi, granted the bail application while noting that the court must assess the severity of the charges despite the prosecution not opposing the request.

The court imposed the following conditions for her release:

• ₦20 million with two responsible sureties in like sum.
• Each surety must provide a three-year bank statement or evidence of a fixed deposit valued at no less than ₦20 million.
• Both the defendant and her sureties must undergo screening via the Lagos State Judiciary's Bail Information Management System.
• Following explanations from her defense team that her international passport was misplaced (supported by an affidavit of loss and a public notice), Justice Oshodi directed the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) to strictly enforce travel restrictions on her pending the determination of the suit.

Justice Oshodi has adjourned the matter to October 12, 2026, for the continuation of the trial.
