Poco Lee

Popular Nigerian dancer Poco Lee, has spoken out for the first time following his release on bail in the United Kingdom, maintaining his innocence regarding legal allegations filed against him in London.
In a video call with social media commentator VeryDarkMan, he reflected on his state of mind during his recent period in detention, stating that knowing he committed no wrongdoing kept him calm and mentally grounded. The dancer’s appearance comes ahead of his scheduled plea and trial preparation hearing at the Snaresbrook Crown Court on September 15, 2026.

“If I was inside there and I did what I was accused of, I would have felt I was paying for my sins, but since I knew I didn't do what I was accused of, my mind is pure... God sees my heart. My only worries were about my people.”
— Poco Lee

During the conversation, Poco Lee expressed gratitude to close friends and industry associates—including Afrobeats star Burna Boy and socialite Rahman Jago—for standing by him throughout the ordeal. He revealed that his primary concern while held in the UK was not his personal discomfort, but the emotional strain and operational disruption his situation caused to his team and business partners.
The legal proceedings stem from allegations brought forward following Poco Lee’s trip to the UK in August for the Davido and Friends concert held at the Crystal Palace Bowl in London. While court records confirm that legal proceedings remain active under strict reporting restrictions to protect complainant anonymity, Poco Lee has not been convicted of any offense and maintains his complete innocence as the judicial process unfolds.
