TikTok sensation Khaby Lame, the world’s most followed creator with over 162 million followers, was briefly detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at Las Vegas’s Harry Reid International Airport on June 6. According to ICE, he overstayed a temporary visa obtained when he entered the United States on April 30 to attend high-profile events like the Met Gala.

Rather than being formally deported, Lame was granted "voluntary departure" and left the U.S. shortly after his detention. ICE confirmed he “self-deported,” a move that does not necessarily bar him from re-entering the country in the future.

The situation took a political turn when conservative influencer Bo Loudon, who claims to be a close friend of Barron Trump, asserted credit for alerting authorities to Lame’s visa status. Loudon said he contacted officials and said this action aligned with broader immigration enforcement efforts. His public boasting sparked criticism and a heated social media response.

Khaby Lame and his team have not yet issued any official comment on the incident. Meanwhile, he appears to be in Brazil, recently participating in a community soccer match alongside AC Milan player Emerson Royal. The episode has raised fresh discussion about celebrity visas, political influence in immigration enforcement, and the ledgers of digital fame.
