Kenneth Okonkwo Accuses Edo Governor of Ethnic Bias Over Comment on Peter Obi

According to Okonkwo, such a remark would not have been made if Peter Obi were from the North or South-West. He said, “I sense tribalistic and ethnic bigotry from this Edo Governor. If Peter Obi were a leader from Hausa Land or Yoruba Land, this governor would not dare make such a statement.” He further argued that Obi, like any other national leader, has the right to move freely across Nigeria without needing clearance from any state governor.
