Katsina Governor Dikko Radda to Begin Three-Week Medical Leave; Deputy Set to Take Charge

Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State is set to commence a three-week medical leave starting Monday, 18 August 2025. The Katsina State Commissioner for Information and Culture, Dr. Bala Salisu-Zango, confirmed in a statement on Thursday.

During his absence, Deputy Governor Malam Faruk Lawal-Jobe will assume the responsibilities of the governorship to ensure seamless administration.

Governor Radda expressed gratitude for the support he has received and emphasised that prioritising his health is essential in order for him to continue serving effectively. He also voiced confidence in the deputy’s ability to lead and assured the public that ongoing initiatives, programmes and projects will continue without interruption.
