A judge in Los Angeles has denied YouTuber and rapper DDG’s (Darryl Granberry Jr.) request for a temporary restraining order (TRO) against actress and singer Halle Bailey. Filed on June 4, the motion sought to prevent Bailey from traveling abroad with their 17-month-old son, Halo, amid allegations that she posed an emotional and psychological risk. However, the court dismissed both the TRO and the travel restriction, allowing Bailey to continue her planned trip to Italy with their child .

The request came after Bailey had previously been granted sole legal and physical custody in May, along with an existing restraining order requiring DDG to stay at least 100 yards away from Bailey and Halo. In his filing, DDG accused Bailey of making threats of self-harm, mental instability, stalking behaviors, and even seizing a firearm during an incident—citing these as reasons to seek protective measures against her .

The judge’s decision emphasized that DDG had not presented sufficient evidence of imminent harm to justify preventing Bailey from traveling. According to court documents, “The court finds insufficient evidence of imminent emotional and psychological risk to the minor child during petitioner’s business trip to Italy.” Although parts of his request—such as prohibiting physical or emotional abuse by Bailey—were granted, the broader TRO and travel ban were denied .

With Bailey cleared to travel and maintain custody pending the next hearing—scheduled for June 24—both parents now face intensified scrutiny in their ongoing custody dispute. Legal analysts note that the case highlights the complex challenges of co-parenting under public and legal duress, especially when both parties allege abuse. The court will continue to evaluate evidence in the next session as tensions remain high between the two.
