Ilebaye’s Father Opens Up on Family Crisis and Daughter's Behavior

The father of Big Brother Naija All Stars winner, Ilebaye Odiniya, has finally shared his own side of the story regarding the viral video of him hitting his daughter. In a detailed revelation, he explained that he has always been a supportive father, even helping her during her auditions and spending money with his friends to save her from eviction every week while she was in the house. However, he claimed that after Ilebaye won the prize money, she became distant and stopped reaching out to him, despite his many efforts to connect with her.

According to him, the relationship turned sour because Ilebaye refused to follow his advice, including his request for her to use part of her winnings to help the less privileged. He expressed deep disappointment over her lifestyle choices, specifically mentioning her decision to undergo face fillers and BBL surgery at a young age. He also dropped a bombshell, claiming that the hotel Ilebaye shows off online actually belongs to him. He alleged that on two occasions, Ilebaye physically attacked him when he tried to scold her, and the recent viral video happened because he finally reacted to her continuous disrespect.

The father further revealed his struggles with high blood pressure and how Ilebaye allegedly refused to help him with funds for his medical check-up in Dubai, claiming she had no money. He said he was shocked to later see videos of her spraying bundles of cash at fellow housemate Cross’s wedding. He also touched on his troubled marriage, stating that Ilebaye initially supported his decision to divorce her mother but later turned against him. While he has been arrested and questioned by the police over the physical altercation, he is now pleading with Nigerians to forgive the family as they try to settle their issues privately.
