Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has once again affirmed his unwavering support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election, stating emphatically that he “has no apologies” for backing Tinubu’s second-term bid. In a recent public statement, Governor Eno emphasized that his endorsement stems from deep respect for the president’s leadership and a shared vision for national development .
As a member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Governor Eno’s vocal support for an All Progressives Congress (APC) president marks a notable stance of bipartisan collaboration. He has previously reiterated his intent to work alongside Tinubu’s administration to deliver tangible benefits to Akwa Ibom State, highlighting that his PDP leadership promotes respect for authority over partisan conflict .
Governor Eno has also eschewed political gamesmanship, choosing instead to prioritize governance over strategic brinkmanship. His approach has earned praise from both sides, as he continues to welcome defectors into the PDP while maintaining close relations with Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and other federal officials .
In affirming his endorsement, Eno delivers a clear message: political party affiliation will not hinder his commitment to working with Tinubu’s administration. He insists that supportive engagement, not opposition, is the means to secure development for Akwa Ibom. “What goes round comes round,” Eno reminds critics, reinforcing his belief in respectful, results-driven leadership.
