Popular Nigerian TikToker Peller has opened up about his grueling experience in police detention. Speaking out for the first time via Snapchat after regaining his freedom the streamer revealed that he spent nearly four days in a police cell without access to food or basic hygiene facilities.

Peller and his friend, content creator Bello Oladipo, were arrested by operatives of the Lagos State Police Command along the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road. The arrest stemmed from allegations of driving a tinted vehicle lacking a visible license plate. The situation quickly escalated, leading to the duo being arraigned before a Lagos Magistrate Court on a three-count charge including resisting arrest, obstructing police officers from performing their lawful duties, and threatening and filming officers during an operation. Following the arraignment, Peller was granted bail set at ₦500,000.

"I am ugly now; I can't show my face yet. I slept in a cell for almost four days. It has never happened to me before in my life. As they put me in a cell, people in the cell said, 'You are our 001 now.' Omo, I burst out laughing once. I did not talk with anybody till I came out. 001 that you gave water beans. I did not eat for four good days; I took no bath."
