Governor Alia Submits First List of Commissioner-Nominees to State Assembly

Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has formally tendered the first batch of commissioner-nominees to the Benue State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.

The list contains the names of individuals expected to form part of the governor’s executive council as he continues efforts to fully constitute his administration. The nominees were carefully selected based on competence, experience, and regional representation to ensure effective governance and inclusive development.

Although the full list of nominees has not been made public, sources within the government indicate that it includes a mix of technocrats and political figures, reflecting the governor’s promise to build a results-driven team. The Speaker of the House acknowledged receipt of the list and assured that the Assembly would expedite the screening process in line with legislative procedures.
