American rapper GloRilla has been arrested in Georgia on charges of felony drug possession. The 24-year-old Memphis-born artist, whose real name is Gloria Hallelujah Woods, was taken into custody by law enforcement after a routine traffic stop reportedly led to the discovery of controlled substances in her vehicle.
Authorities in Georgia confirmed that the incident occurred late Tuesday night in Clayton County. Officers allegedly found a quantity of drugs during a search of the vehicle and subsequently charged her with possession of a Schedule I controlled substance. While the specific drug involved has not been publicly disclosed, the charge is considered a serious felony under Georgia law and could carry heavy penalties if convicted.
GloRilla was booked into the county jail shortly after her arrest and has since posted bail, according to official jail records. Her legal team has not yet released a statement, but sources close to the rapper suggest she plans to fight the charges vigorously in court.
The case is expected to proceed in the coming weeks as investigations continue.
