Former Kogi State Governor Ibrahim Idris Dies at 77

The former governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, affectionately known as Ibro, has passed away at the age of 77.
The elder statesman and prominent businessman reportedly collapsed at his Abuja residence on Sunday, September 20, 2026, and was subsequently rushed to a private hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Family sources confirmed that his burial will take place in accordance with Islamic rites following funeral prayers at the Abuja National Mosque.
