Ex-President Buhari Recovering in London After ICU Treatment

Former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari is currently recuperating in London following a stay in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a UK hospital. He was moved into intensive care during what was initially described as a routine medical check-up, and was discharged from ICU "last week," according to a report by SaharaReporters citing Empowered Newswire.

Buhari’s media aide, Garba Shehu, confirmed the former president is “steadily recovering” and responding well to treatment. Shehu noted Buhari fell ill while abroad but declined to detail his condition . The 81‑year‑old stated that although he feels improved and eager to return home, he is following doctors’ orders “absolutely” and will remain in London until fully fit.
