Ekiti Group Backs Governor Oyebanji’s Re-Election Bid

A prominent sociocultural organisation in Oke Ako, Ekiti – the Ako Indigenous Resolute Club of Oke Ako – has formally endorsed Governor Biodun Abiodun Oyebanji for re-election. The club praised his performance in his first three years in office, saying he has demonstrated remarkable ability in bringing development to all parts of Ekiti State.
Among the changes they cited are improvements in agriculture in Oke Ako, including the construction of access roads linking the locality to farm settlements and other communities. The government also set aside over 10,000 hectares of land for large-scale farming through appointed investors, benefiting local farmers and youth.
The group commended the ongoing rehabilitation of key infrastructure such as the Aiyedun-Ipao-Oke Ako-Irele road. It also appreciated compensations paid to community farmers whose lands were acquired for agricultural development. These actions, they said, have bolstered the local economy, improved livelihoods, and restored peace in areas once plagued by criminal activity.
Given these achievements, the Ako Indigenous Resolute Club urged citizens to vote Oyebanji back into office so he can finish the developmental projects he has started. They stated that continuity is important if the progress already made is to be consolidated and further built upon in a second term.
What do you think about this endorsement from the Ekiti community? Does Governor Oyebanji’s performance justify re-electing him, or should voters look elsewhere? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
