Diarrhoea Outbreak

Fifteen female students from a school in Kaduna State have been discharged from the hospital following treatment for a diarrhoea outbreak. The students were among several affected by the sudden outbreak, which prompted swift medical response from state health authorities and school management. The cause of the illness is suspected to be linked to contaminated water or food sources, pending laboratory confirmation.

Health officials confirmed that all discharged students are now stable and recovering at home, while surveillance and preventive measures have been intensified within the school to avoid further cases. Public health teams have also conducted sanitation checks and are monitoring nearby communities to contain any possible spread. Authorities have urged schools to maintain strict hygiene standards and ensure access to clean water.
