Daniel Levy Steps Down as Tottenham Executive Chairman After Nearly 25 Years

Tottenham Hotspur has confirmed that Daniel Levy has stepped down as the club’s Executive Chairman, concluding an extensive tenure of nearly 25 years.


Levy’s departure marks the end of a defining era, during which the Spurs underwent transformational change (most notably the construction of their state-of-the-art stadium and training facilities), cementing their status as a global footballing brand.


While under Levy’s stewardship, Tottenham secured only two major trophies, the 2008 League Cup and the 2024 Europa League, his impact on club infrastructure and commercial growth cannot be understated. The team also made seven UEFA Champions League appearances, showcasing their elevation in elite European football.


In a strategic reshuffling, Peter Charrington has been named the new Non-Executive Chairman, while Vinai Venkatesham, previously of Arsenal, steps in as the club’s first Chief Executive Officer. Despite the leadership shift, club ownership remains unchanged under ENIC.


As Levy steps away from daily responsibilities, Tottenham now embarks on a fresh chapter under a revitalised executive structure, aiming to translate off-field foundations into sustained on-pitch success.
