Daniel Bwala Says Seyi Tinubu Is Qualified to Challenge His Father in 2027

The Special Adviser on Policy Communication to President Bola Tinubu, Daniel Bwala, has stated that the president’s son, Seyi Tinubu, is qualified to run for any political office in Nigeria, including challenging his own father for the presidency.
Bwala made the remark during an appearance on The Clarity Zone podcast, where he rejected criticisms that Seyi’s political profile is merely the result of his father’s influence. He emphasised that Seyi has earned his reputation among Nigerian youth as a bridge-builder, involved in political activity beyond partisan lines.
According to Bwala, Seyi’s humility and lack of involvement in scandal stand out compared to past political children. He noted that despite public scrutiny, Seyi has maintained relationships even with critics of the administration without engaging in social media attacks.
Bwala also expressed that public perceptions of Seyi should be shaped by his actions rather than inherited beliefs. He urged Nigerians not to judge him based on the former governor or president he is related to, but on his own merits.
