Cristiano Ronaldo has finally claimed his first major silverware in Saudi Arabia, leading Al-Nassr to the 2025–2026 Saudi Pro League championship. The historic title was sealed on Thursday, May 21, 2026, following a commanding 4–1 victory over Damac FC at Alawwal Park in Riyadh during the final round of the season.
The match carried immense pressure as Al-Nassr held off fierce rivals Al-Hilal to secure the league crown. Former Liverpool forward Sadio Mané opened the scoring for the hosts in the 33rd minute before French winger Kingsley Coman doubled the advantage early in the second half. Damac threatened a comeback when Morlaye Sylla converted a penalty in the 57th minute, but Ronaldo quickly took control of the game to put the result beyond doubt.
The 41-year-old Portuguese icon restored Al-Nassr's two-goal cushion in the 62nd minute by curling a brilliant low free-kick into the bottom corner. He then put the contest completely to bed in the 80th minute, finishing from close range after smart attacking movement inside the box to secure his brace. The victory created emotional scenes on the field and bench, with a teary-eyed Ronaldo celebrating passionately with his teammates, family, and roaring home supporters as confetti rained down.
Al-Nassr concluded the dramatic campaign with 86 points, finishing just two points clear of runners-up Al-Hilal to secure their first league title since the 2018–2019 season. Ronaldo ended his domestic league run with an impressive 28 goals, setting a new footballing milestone as the first player in history to win the league title and top-scorer accolades across four different nations (England, Spain, Italy, and Saudi Arabia). The champion forward will now shift his focus to captaining Portugal in the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup.
