An Ikeja Magistrates’ Court has adjourned the trial of Olamide Omo-Iya-Kunmi, the driver of former world heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua, until February 25, 2026. Omo-Iya-Kunmi is facing charges related to an incident involving the boxer’s expensive Range Rover.
The driver was arraigned on a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing. According to the prosecution, Omo-Iya-Kunmi allegedly conspired with others at large to steal the vehicle’s brain box and other vital parts valued at millions of naira. The incident reportedly took place in the Sagamu area of Ogun State before the matter was brought before the court in Lagos.
During the proceedings on Tuesday, January 20, the court noted that the adjournment was necessary to allow for the continuation of the hearing and for the prosecution to present further evidence. Omo-Iya-Kunmi, who had previously been granted bail, remains under the court's supervision as the legal process unfolds. Anthony Joshua’s team has remained largely silent on the matter since the legal proceedings began.
