American rapper Cardi B is facing a lawsuit for assault and battery following a 2023 incident in which she struck a woman with a microphone during a live performance. The lawsuit, filed by the alleged victim, claims the artiste intentionally hurled the microphone into the crowd after someone threw ice at her on stage.

The incident, which occurred during a concert in Las Vegas, was captured on video and widely circulated online. In the footage, Cardi B is seen visibly reacting after being splashed with ice before launching the microphone in the direction of the crowd. While it was initially unclear whether anyone was injured, the plaintiff now alleges she sustained physical and emotional harm from the impact.

Although Cardi B was briefly investigated by authorities at the time, the case was not pursued criminally. However, the civil suit seeks damages for medical expenses, emotional distress, and punitive compensation. The rapper has yet to make a formal public statement on the lawsuit.
