APC’s Ozigbo Challenges Soludo, Predicts Victory Regardless of Timing
Omoyeni Olabode

Valentine Ozigbo, a governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has declared himself confident of defeating incumbent Governor Chukwuma Soludo in the upcoming Anambra State election scheduled for 8 November 2025, even if he is reinstated as APC’s candidate just two weeks before the polls.
Ozigbo lost the APC primary to Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, but is now challenging that outcome in court. He claims the primary that produced Ukachukwu was flawed, arguing that Ukachukwu was not properly qualified. Even so, Ozigbo says that he remains undeterred, insisting that regardless of timing, even if his reinstatement comes late, his campaign can still defeat Soludo.
During a recent media appearance, Ozigbo criticised Governor Soludo, suggesting that the current governor is underestimating him and other opponents. He argued that Soludo is acting as if he faces no challengers.
Ozigbo also addressed concerns that there might not be enough time to campaign effectively if he is returned as candidate late in the process, saying that belief in his message and strength of support are what will carry him through.
The aspirant added that if the APC errs in the ticket selection process, he is prepared to withdraw from the party rather than accept what he perceives as injustice.
For now, the case is playing out in the courts, leaving the APC ticket in legal limbo. How the judiciary rules, and how voters respond, will likely be decisive in whether Ozigbo’s bold predictions become reality.
